Do you have to have Firefox or can you have Windows?
ReplyDeleteYou can do this download trick in any operating system that supports Firefox (MAC, Windows, All GNU/LINUX, Unix, Solaris, BSD and more)! In my case I was used Ubuntu (A rock solid GNU/Linux operating system).
DeleteI can't get the spotify beta web player to open. Can someone help?
ReplyDeleteWhat happened when clicking on above Green Spotify button? Is it loading in a new tab?
DeleteI cant get it like a mp3 or ogg file... i cant even choose what file i whould prefer to save it as.
ReplyDeleteSave the audio file from cache viewer to .mp3 file extension instead of default .html, It should work. Watch the above video carefully if you have still doubts!
Deleteit doesn't work anymore, does it?
ReplyDeleteYes, something is changed! All songs are playing well but no details stored, but the cover art and some google data stored locally after each song played!
Deleteso there is no different method to download spotify songs of the web player?, because i guess google data has no use.
Deletep.s.: thx for editing your post and fast respose ;)
DeleteI've found you can still do it with Pandora, less predictable for the songs, but still nice.
ReplyDeleteYes, but sound quality is not good as Spotify! Moreover this trick works with some more streaming sites.
DeleteSo how else are we suppose to get the streaming music if it does not work?
DeleteYou can try other streaming sites like pandora.com and grooveshark.com, it will works.
DeleteAudio/mpeg files aren't showing up on my cacheviewer. Am I doing something wrong? I let the song completely finish and I've tried several times!
ReplyDeleteSorry for late the reply, this trick may not work now because they(Spotify) fixed the spot! I will report here if I found another way, someone below suggested another way but I do not understand what he/she talk about.
